There are no computers available on-site.

A limited number of laptops and basic audiovisual equipment from the Laboratory of Social Anthropology will be available for your use. We suggest, however, bringing your own equipment for readings and experimental work (photographic and video camera, voice recorder, laptop, drawing supplies).

Makrinitsa provides bus transfer to Volos and the eastern Pelion area, local shops for bread, food and basic supplies.

An ATM is available (banks only in Volos). Cars stop at the entrance of the settlement and do not circulate in the village. All pathways are rough, stone paved. Good gear, as boots or trekking shoes are necessary.

A medical center, bigger shops, a gas station, as well as swimming pools, are to be found in the nearby village of Portaria.

Wi-Fi will be available at the hotel, in the school (base of the PSL), and in village cafes and taverns.
