​From Athens (El. Venizelos Airport) to Volos (by bus)

Step one: Take bus Route X93 from El. Venizelos Airport to Liossion Bus Station (approx. 1 hour) or taxi.

Step two: Take KTEL bus from Liossion Bus Station to Volos Bus Station (KTEL Magnesias) (4 hours)

From Thessaloniki (Makedonia Airport) to Volos (by bus)

 Take bus No 78 (the bus departs every one hour and it is situated outside the airport check-in, info:) to the Central Bus Station in Thessaloniki (Airport to Central Bus Station: approx. 0,5 hours)

From Central Bus Station Thessaloniki to Volos Bus Station (info): approx. 2 hours.

​NOTE: There is also train service from Athens/Thessaloniki to Volos. However, we recommend the bus over the train: it is faster, more reliable, with frequent service.

From Volos to Makrinitsa

Take the local bus from Volos Bus Station to Makrinitsa (through Portaria). The buses leave approximately every two hours. The bus timetable can be found here. (approx. 0,30 hours)
